Job Description

Competitive
Freelance
Fully Remote

Horizon Dental Jobs connects forward-thinking dental technology companies with the industry’s brightest clinical minds. We are currently registering prospective candidates for Dental AI Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Clinical Advisor roles.

In these flexible, fully remote positions, you will step away from patient treatment to provide crucial clinical oversight for early-stage, AI-powered diagnostic and reporting platforms. You will evaluate AI-generated dental outputs, ensuring that the technology’s diagnostic reasoning, treatment planning, and clinical language remain firmly grounded in real-world practice. By registering with us, you allow our team to match you seamlessly with upcoming AI advisory opportunities that fit your schedule, handling the introduction from first contact through to offer. This is a genuinely low-friction way to stay at the cutting edge of digital dentistry without compromising your clinical commitments.

Important Note: While we are building our network for upcoming projects and there may not be an immediate live role, registering ensures you are among the first experts we contact when relevant opportunities launch. This also grants you priority access to future strategic advisory projects within our network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AI-Generated Content: Assess AI-driven dental reports and diagnostic outputs for clinical accuracy, safety, and real-world relevance, providing structured, actionable feedback to product teams.
  • Guide Product Strategy: Participate in high-level discussions to validate new features, shape product direction, and ensure the platform solves actual problems faced by clinicians.
  • Anchor the Clinical Perspective: Act as the voice of the practising dentist, helping engineering and product teams understand how clinicians will interpret, use, and trust AI tools in a live practice setting.

Your Profile

  • Qualified Professional: GDC-registered dentist with solid clinical experience in the UK.
  • Tech-Forward Mindset: A genuine interest in digital dentistry, artificial intelligence, and the evolving landscape of automated diagnostics and reporting.
  • Analytical Communicator: Highly comfortable reviewing technical concepts and providing clear, practical, and precise written or verbal feedback.
  • Valuable Extras: Prior experience in advisory, consultancy, or clinical committee roles is highly advantageous (though not strictly required).
  • Flexible Availability: Able to commit a small, consistent amount of time each month to review content and join strategic calls.
